Where companies come from
- Spreadsheets and separate apps: sales in one tool, stock in a spreadsheet, invoices in another program.
- Legacy ERP and accounting software such as Sage, A3, SAP Business One or Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
- Older versions of Odoo, often with custom modules that have kept them from upgrading.
Why move, and what gets better
Old systems rarely fail all at once. They get slower, the people who knew them leave, and more of the business moves into spreadsheets to work around them. Numbers get copied between tools, so nobody fully trusts them.
In Odoo every department works on the same data. An order updates the stock, the stock updates the accounts, and the reports read from the same place, live. Month-end stops being a week of reconciling spreadsheets. And because Odoo runs in the cloud and gets a new version every year, you are not left maintaining an ageing server or paying for a system that no longer improves.
If you already run an older Odoo, moving to the current version brings years of Odoo's own work at once: a faster interface, new features in every app, and the security fixes that old versions no longer get.
How a migration runs
Take stock
We list every source of data, how it is used and how clean it is. Not everything needs to come: together we agree what moves and what is archived.
Clean and map
Duplicates merged, codes unified, fields mapped to Odoo. AI does the tedious part of the cleaning; your team decides the rules.
Trial migrations
We run the full migration into a copy of your new Odoo, more than once. Your team checks the figures that matter: balances, stock and open orders.
Cutover
On an agreed date we freeze the old system, run the final import and check it with you. Your team starts the next working day in Odoo.
What we bring across
- Customers, suppliers and contacts
- Products, prices and units of measure
- Opening balances and open invoices
- Stock levels by warehouse and location
- Open sales and purchase orders
- History, where it is worth keeping
Upgrading an older Odoo
Odoo releases a new version every year, and each one changes enough that custom modules have to be ported. That is why so many companies get stuck several versions behind.
Staying behind also costs money now. If your Odoo Enterprise database is older than the three most recent versions, Odoo adds 25% to your yearly subscription. Today that means anything before Odoo 18. And the fee is the smaller cost: every year behind is a year of new features, speed and security fixes your team goes without.
We audit what you have, port the custom modules worth keeping and replace the rest with standard features that newer Odoo already covers. Then we test the upgrade on a copy before switching you over. From then on the yearly upgrade is part of support, so you never fall behind again.
